We walked with Tony and Wendy through a very muddy forest talking and walking, walking and talking. There are some new allotments being dug in Benenden. We took a look at their progress. Not a shoot, spade or shed in sight. Very disappointing. Back home we had mugs of tea with cookies that Tim made. The recipe title was 'The Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe Ever' - I concur with that. It was a wise of him to make only half quantity as they are very moorish.
The Halfway House this evening was perfect for a very belated Book Group meet up. It has been months since our last get together. We read The Book of Beginnings by Sally Page. A nice easy read. Malcolm was my favorite character researching the famous people buried in Highgate cemetery. I have started using my ink pen again - the ending was wrong. There is a lovely quote by George Eliot in the book - "It is never too late to be what you might have been." That got me thinking.....?
