Monday, 30th April 2012 - Breakfast Prep

A sunny day took me into the garden. I have at long last got the yellowing sweetpeas into the ground so they can reach out their roots.

Tescos delivered cornflakes for May Day breakfast.

They were delivered safely to the working mens club in readiness for tomorrow.

Sunday. 29th April 2012 - No One Home

What a hectic day.

Three rooms to do and it was raining. Good thing I had my helper.

We went to Tesco to get some vital provisions.

We were promised tea at The Tower House. We had to wait.

It reminded me of the course I went on with Harriet.

So I dug out my Sumi painting things.

Thursday, 26th April 2012 - Which Pub for Morris?

We went into Cranbrook to book lunch for the Morris Men on MayDay.

First it was going to be in The White Horse

Then The George seemed a much better option.

Wednesday, 25th April 2012 - Peat Free

Sarah and I are back at our art class. It reminded us of the first day back at school. We get 10 out of 10 for effort.

On my home I needed to get some compost.

I asked if the bags could be put in the car for me.

Was not quite expecting this!!!

Tuesday, 24th April 2012 - Girls at Lunch

I left guests sitting at the breakfast table as I had babysitting to do. Don't worry Tim was there to see to their every need.

After Hetty and I had had a lovely time causing chaos at home we left it all behind to meet a rather lovely looking Harriet for lunch. Shame it rained on your curls.

Saturday, 21st April 2012 - New Model Needed

Tim harvested our first two vegetables of the year.  I think we are in for a bumper crop.

I ate one.

Started to paint the other then Tim ate it. I had to use a bit of imagination. I will have to wait for another one to get a true likeness.

Sunday, 15th April 2012 - Dr Oz recommends Eight to Ten-a-Day

I have not done much of note today. Tim suggested a blank page. I was rather tempted.

Then inspiration struck.

I read an article today that suggests for our good health we should be eating not the Government recommendation of 5 fruit and vegetables a day but 8 to 10.

You can guess what they are if you like!?! There are eight.

Tim resorted to working on the sofa.

Being revived by a morning cup of tea.

Thursday, 12th April 2012 - Teasing

I am enjoying having more time to paint now our house guests have gone.

I was inspired by the sun, rain, hail, lightening and sun we had today. I got totally sidetracked and did something completely unintended. Maybe tomorrow if you are lucky.

The rhododendron is showing buds of what will be magnificent flowers, tempting us with what is to come.

Wednesday, 11th April 2012 - Just Tea

What a manic one today.

After breakfast I had to clean rooms!!! My cleaner was unable to come.

Tim and I met Dick, Barb, Harriet and jolly little Hetty in Abode for a cream tea. No one wanted a cream tea so we just had tea.

Monday, 9th April 2012 - Cheese

Tim, I, Mike, Pippa, Sarah, Nigel, Tony and Wendy went for a very very long walk in the wind and wet today.

We managed to stagger to The Woodcock for refreshment and then onto The Bull for a couple more before coming back for soup, bread, cheese and crumble with a little bit of beer and wine.

My legs are aching already.

It is my birthday today.

It has been going on all weekend and will be extended to include tomorrow.

I got some charming presents. Thank you so much for all the 'splendid' gifts.

Tim gave me some paper made from various plant parts.

Some was made from onion. There is only one thing a girl can do with a piece of onion paper.

Paint a massive onion!!!

We had a very busy happy day today.

Rare Breeds Centre with The Evans - no, no picture of that.

Dinner with the family at Elizabeth's and Keith's - no didn't draw that either.

A shop to Tesco - been there done that.

So what did I have left. Tim moving the compost at Mum and Dad's house.

This is a very tired hand that drew this picture

Yet another painting to keep Sarah happy!!!

This is a plant in the garden. If you can guess what it is I will be mightily impressed.

Painted in sort of the style of Georgia O'Keeffe and then slipped into something else.
