Harriet, Herbie and I went to see Mum. She was fast asleep in bed when we got there but as soon as she heard us come into her room she was wide awake, bright as a button and delighted to see Herbie. Up and in her chair, with a little help. Harriet and I were waiting for Herbie to join in the conversation - he can be very vocal - but Mum had verbal diarrhoea and he couldn't get a word in edgeways. Mum is thinking of going home with just a bit of help. Really. That is not going to happen. It is great that she is feeling positive and no one is going to quash that. Let's roll with it for now.
Tonight I have come back from art class needing to go to bed. You have a continuous line drawing (with just a few necessary breaks) of where Harriet and I had coffee and shared an 'Alternative Breakfast' at Will's in Northiam. We sat outside in the sun. It was charming.
