Thursday, 4th January 2018 - Frolicking by Torchlight

It has been a fine day.

I collected Hetty and Bella from their first day back at school. They were in lively spirits. After a bit of leaping around the kitchen to Alexa playing Moana Tim suggested we all go for a walk. It was met with minor complaints. Once out in the dark with torches and mud and Hugo the squeals and high activity proved it to be a wise decision. Can you loose sight of a child in a field in the dark when they turn their torch off - yes, worryingly for Grandma you can.

Herbie is home and surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. He just needs to get used to the noise, smells and temperature variations. We are thrilled. Welcome little button.

The slow cooker is a marvellous machine for making banana chutney. The house has become a vast decongestant.

  2. The Slow Cooker is a marvellous machine period. My Prestige Crockpot is from 1981, unperturbed by the glass frying pan lid it has sadly been sporting since just before christmas. Ebay may hopefully return it to its former glory.
