My thoughts are with a dear friend today.
I was running through the breakfast options with my guests this morning. You know. Fresh fruit, cereal, toast with homemade marmalade or blackcurrant jam. Eggs fried, poached or scrambled. Then to be told that one of them is a marmalade judge for the WI adds a bit of a wobble to a well oiled machine. I am waiting for my score.
A chilly start turned into a warm afternoon. We took the MG to The Lord Raglan and stuck up posters for a future Morris event on their posts. It was surprisingly nice sitting on the bench in the carpark.
I was preparing my cheese for grating onto lettuce. It is so good with a drizzle of salad cream. The packet said 'tear and reveal'. What an enticing statement. I had misled myself. It read 'tear and reseal'.
A weepy couple of episodes Poldark kept me occupied this evening.
