Thursday, 19th July 2018 - Farewell Gerry

In the St Mary's Church at Ide Hill we celebrated the life Of Gerry. The service was wonderful. Michael and Emily brought their amazing voices. There were uplifting hymns and heartfelt poems, a recording of Gerry playing saxophone, readings and the most incredible Eulogy by Gerry's brother. Through tears and laughter I realised how little I knew this man. A wicker coffin festooned with flowers was beautiful. We finished at the Halfway House which was the ideal setting for the Morris to dance and play. We left while friends and family listened to the many musicians that had known and played with Gerry.
