This evening we joined Nigel and celebrated his 60th birthday even though it is tomorrow. We had dinner in the Havana room at Hotel du Vin. I had a tart, sea bass and cheese cake diluted with wine. A very fine way to spend an evening. It was good to catch up with Sam, Harry and the stunning looking Sophie. We got a cab back to Tonbridge and stayed with John and Diane. We hardly ever would do this so it made for an expanding experience. I was disappointed that we did not get a turn down service - no chocolates on the pillow.
