Blimey it's cold out there.
Happy Birthday to Sarah. It is sad we cannot meet in Arthur's and gossip over coffee, or wander in and out the shops or have dinner in a pub by a roaring fire where you can have two starters and drink prosecco. Hopefully your next birthday we can do it all.
Months ago I ordered some bargain perennials to fill our garden full of colour. They arrived a couple of weeks ago for immediate planting. They are bare rooted red hot pokers, delphiniums, hollyhocks, gypsophila, eryngium, chinese lanterns, aquilegia, and echinacea. Now they are tucked up in compost and in the green house. I hope I have planted them the right way up. Some of them were mere sticks.
