I drove into Cranbrook to meet Sarah. It was packed. I had to drive round the carpark to find a space. Where were all the people? They weren't in the coffee shops. Sarah and I had coffee and shared a crispy bacon roll with chilli jam then we had another coffee because we hadn't seen each other for ages and had lots to talk about. We weathered the weather and dove into the Hospice shop and got a couple of bits for our grandchildren.
I came home to an afternoon of ironing bnb bedding whilst listening to a very good crime drama based in Scotland.
