We watched and waited for the onslaught of Storm Eunice. She did a mighty job whipping across the country. Our power went out accompanied by the internet - hence the late blog. The bee hive toppled. hopefully the bees weren't too concerned. Sand bags are holding it down. The saddest damage was the ripped branches from what used to be a very fine oak tree.
We had a candlelight evening eating split pea dhal and warmed by the woodburner.
