Elizabeth and Brenda came for coffee. Elizabeth has a lovely friend who bought her a lovely necklace. It would be nice to have a friend who would spend £45 on a present for me.
Tim still has a sore eye so we did not go to lunch with Mike and Pippa. We did gardening in the sun instead. The mosquitos are out.

Do we have mosquitoes and midges in the UK and do they both come out at the same time? I'd also like a friend that would spend that on me, but then I might feel guilty and have to spend the money back. I'm quite happy with a hello and a cup of tea :-)
