Friday, 16th October 2026 - Day One of Basque holiday

Tim and I got home from a train holiday with Si, Lesley, Nick and Alli yesterday. Hence my absence. 

Day One Sunday, 4th October - Lille

We met on the train and arrived in Lille early afternoon. After a couple of Ginettes in Au Paon D'Or the sunny afternoon was perfect for a wander through La Grand-Place and stroll around the cathedral. We stayed the night in the Hotel Chagnot. What a name!

Here we are walking to dinner at Chez Raoul. It was very rich in the local cheese, Mimolette.
