Thursday, 15th January 2026 - Tulips in a Green Vase

It has been a thoroughly revolting day weather wise. Continuous rain, incessant rain. I had a list as long as my arm - a saying I remember my Mum saying. Mum, I still miss you.

By the end of the day crossed off the majority of jobs including ironing which has been piling up for weeks. An audio book amused me when I got fed up of Radio 4. Now tomorrow I have five white blouses to choose from.

Day 15 #stradaeasel

I have spent the evening with art buddies. Wendy and I set up a still life. We had free reign as to how to approach it. I used Adam de Ville's layered approach. A base, followed by a background, then a charcoal sketch, oil paint with a brush, oil paint with a palette knife, some sgraffito and fingers crossed it makes it home without covering the car seat in paint. Excellent evening.
