Tim and I spent a couple of decadent hours at Sissinghurst Castle Gardens. We found an empty bench. I sketched, Tim worked. I have been investigating a glorious very tall plant that is in their nuttery. It is Chinese meadow rue. I now have to track down some plants or seeds.
We have a small woodland that was coppiced in the past. The trees are now rather straggly. I like their wayward shapes. At this time of year you enter at persil. The mosquitos are vicious.
Pages from my sketchbook.
