Sunday, 31st January 2016 - Two Saws, One Rope

I have had another 'gardening with guilt' session today. After tackling a large patch of brambles I went onto fine weeding. Removing Hairy Bittercress alongside dandelions and not harvesting them into a delicious dinner caused a slight uneasiness of waste. Michael White and his foraging ways is totally to blame for my undesirable feelings.

I had a much more enjoyable, guilt-free, time in the woods with Tim trying to remove a wedged chainsaw from a tree. His calculations were not quite right causing it to get squidged in a cut. Blue rope, brute force and luck got the saw out. We now have a lovely stack of logs for those cold February nights.
