Thursday, 27th March 2014 - Not Basils

The chilly weather did not deter my outing today.

It all started with a jumper I had left at June's house. This led to the suggestion of a coffee in Tunbridge Wells. Lesley is over that way so Pippa and I squeezed in a visit to Albans Barnyard where I purchased Harriet's birthday present. Linda was in Tunbridge Wells have her hair cut so she joined us. Sarah was visiting her Mum who is not feeling too great and lives in Tunbridge Wells and so was able to come too.

Little Artisan was the perfect meeting place for coffee and a bit of lunch.

Thankyou girls for making a lovely Thursday.

Wednesday, 19th March 2014 - Travelzoo

Thumbs up all those doing Slapfree to beat cancer - even Tom - now I know you look good even without your makeup.

A few weeks ago I got an advertising email. You know normal thing. I don't usually take much notice but this one had an offer at The Great House in Hawkhurst for a half price three course dinner (plus coffee) for two. I got three sets of vouchers. We enjoyed a wonderful meal last night. The wine bumped the price a bit but it was still quite a bargain. Very extravagant for a Wednesday evening. I really don't need to eat again for the rest of the week.

I am reading Life after Life by Kate Atkinson - I am worried about Ursula.

Sunday, 16th March 2014 - Near Dingleden

Tim and I were dragged to The Woodcock by Tony and Wendy. We did experience a rather beautiful walk on our way there and back. Is this glorious weather going to continue? I am making the most of it by being outside as much as possible just in case it ends. This entailed Tim cutting the hedge while I read my book and dozed, as much as is possible with the frantic mating calls of frogs and birds or they could be just delighting in the sunny days, on the sun lounger.

11th March 2014 - Bella's First Birthday

Tim and I enjoyed sharing our granddaughters first birthday with her.

The cake Harriet (and Hetty) made was pink, chocolate and lemon and tasted delicious.

Hetty helped Arabella unwrap, and play with her presents.

There was a particularly large My Little Unicorn chosen for Bella by her big sister.

We missed Uncle Tom.

Friday, 7th March 2014 - Green but Tasty

I got some strawberries for my guests breakfasts. They look a little unripe, are a bit on the crunchy side but taste good - well, what do you expect when you buy strawberries in March.
