Wednesday, 30th May 2012 - It Should have been Morris

An entertaining evening spent at the pub with the Morris Men should have been my picture but I had five minutes on return to create.

I potted up 72 Salpiglossis and 144 Gazinia which when grown from their minuteness will bathe our garden in colour.

Tuesday, 29th May 2012 - Hullabaloo

Harriet, Hetty and I spent the day in Canterbury.

The Jazz band that played at Harriet and Brett's wedding were busking. They remembered the hail storm.

Monday, 28th May 2012 - Savage Garden

Another steamy hot day.

There is a flower like lots of little umbrellas in our garden. Great idea for my blog - shade under an umbrella.

Tim picked me a rose.

While I was painting I sang along to a favourite CD.

We planned to go for a walk with June and Barry followed by lunch at home.

We got no further than our garden.

Saturday, 26th May 2012 - Runners

Tim put up the bean poles today. When the sun had lost its heat a little I planted the beans, watered (with a can as we still have a hose pipe ban) and put lots of slug pellets down. We know what happens when it gets dark in our garden.

Friday, 25th May 2012 - No Strawberries

I made an evening trip to Tesco to get fruit for breakfasts. The shelves were annoyingly empty.

But the sky was pretty driving home.

A hot day for our art class today. We went to the garden of Jean.

Following that Sarah and I went for tea and cake with Linda.

After that Sarah and I went to an art exhibition in Lenham.

Next Sarah and I had chips on the bench. Sarah had curry sauce with hers!!!

It has been a very busy day. Life is sooooo tough.

Tuesday, 22nd May 2012 - Bread for the Birds

Today it was glorious sunshine.

I had a lovely time with Hetty. She is a complete and utter delight. I am very happy but exhausted.

I apologise, particularly to Harriet, for the bad drawing.

Saturday, 19th May 2012 - Shabby Chic Stripes

My tumble drier is still broken.

Tim is very lucky that he has had the lawn mower mended so he could cut the grass. We even have stripes in a rustic sort of way. The strimmer was working too so we have tidy edges.

Thursday, 17th May 2012 - Lullaby Voice

Dad is frail and Mum needed to go to the Dr (yes, yet again) and do some shopping (yes, yet again) so I went and sat with Dad.

He was very chatty for a while and then I started to tell him about The Wickhams blackcurrant problems which seemed to send him to sleep.

What a glorious day of sunshine today.

A depleted Weald of Kent Morris danced at The Six Bells in Woodchurch. Their performance took a bit of planning.

Saturday, 12th May 2012 - Yesterdays Memory Today

I have happy memories today of yesterday.

Tim and I went to Hastings and met with Ray and Linda.

So it is sort of relevant as the recollection is today.

We had a fantastic Thai meal in a second hand book shop.

Hetty and I had a great time together while Harriet went blonde.

We walked along the river and fed the ducks.

According to all the rules of composition this is very bad. Too late now.

Saturday, 5th May 2012 - Too Challenging

After a busy day cooking, cleaning, ironing, Henrying - do I need to go on?!?

We went to the pub

Now you see why I don't and can't do faces. A little bit scary I feel. I am going back to plant matter.

Friday, 4th May 2012 - Not Tonight Nigel

We had all been working very hard today and met for a drink in The George.

One drink turned into quite a few. It was decided not to descend upon the Indian restaurant. A very wise decision after so many beverages. Another night maybe.
