Friday, 30th March 2012 - Before, Now and After

The garden has sprung into Spring in the eight days that we have been away.

There are buds bursting and flowers flowering round every corner.

Even in the woods

Wednesday, 28th March 2012 - Wooden Teapots

Our last day of our holiday...!

Harriet, Brett, Harriet and I walked in beautiful sunshine up to the Fer a Cheval.

There was a wood store that displayed teapots. I like tea.

Tuesday, 27th March 2012 - Up and Up and Up

Today is Tuesday and we only have one day of our holiday left!!!

That is very sad but I was very brave and managed to enjoy my day.

Brett, Harriet, Hetty and I went into Sameons.

We had a lovely time walking around  Le Jardin Botanique which has been cut out of the cliff.

Monday, 26th March 2012 - Wood Huts

Harriet, Hetty and I eventually got out of the chalet at 2pm.

We walked up to the Fer a Cheval with a promise of an ice-cream. No ice-cream for us. But we had planned ahead and had a picnic in the shade of a tree.

Amazingly beautiful scenery and I am enjoying every moment I get to spend with my granddaughter.

Friday, 23rd March 2012 - Ravelli

The chalet has an amazing nugget burning stove called Sophia. She sends text messages to Steve.

It can be remote controlled from afar so it is lovely and warm when you arrive.

Thursday, 22nd March 2012 = 'Easy' Landing

Today I went with my family to France.

It was Hetty's first for flying and she was an angle but mainly because her Mum did such a great job.

Tom came home and we went to see his Grandad.

We took Dad for a ride around the garden.

There was a very odd light around them.

There are thousands and thousands of daffodils.

Many are tucked along the roadsides.

Monday, 19th March 2012 - Many Products don't mean Light Work

I am not quite sure I have to use so many cleaning products.
Does the variety make it less of a boring task?
More likely that I am taken in by the advertising.

Saturday, 17th March 2012 - Tempted by a Bargain

I got some bargain plants from Thompson and Morgan.

£100 worth of plants for £10.

Twenty very odd looking specimens arrived in the post. I think they are dormant not dead. All potted on and hoping that they will grown into something spectacular.

Friday, 16th March 2012 - Impossibly Difficult

I was with little Hetty today. She is very accomplished at crawling.

I wanted to catch her movement.

What an incredible difficult task but I want improve unless I try. And I did try.

Thursday, 8th March 2012 - Unscented

I went on the hunt for daffodils in the woods - none there, not a bud in sight.

I found these. They do not have a scent but then when you are this big and bold you probably don't need one.

This Brussel's bar was amazing. There must have been over 20 beers on tap. This does not show the vastness.

Saturday, 3rd March 2012 - Muddy Positive

This was a bit of a failure.

These are the ingredients for Tiffin. I thought they would be a good exercise in negative painting. Started well and then found I reverted back to my tried and tested painting method. Watercolour does not like to be messed around with. You end up with mud.

Lesson learned, again.
